形態特徵

• Plants 2-4 cm tall including flower. Tuberoids whitish, ovoid, 3.5-9 mm long, 2-5 mm in diam., minutely pilose. Stems erect, terete, divided into two separate parts by a node, lower part 5-13 mm long, 1-2 mm in diam., tapering downward, pilose, upper part 3-10 mm long, 1-1.5 mm in diam., glabrous, node with a tubular sheath enclosing upper stem.
• Leaves sessile, cordate, 9-23 mm long, 7.5-21 mm wide, cuspidate at apex, entire, chartaceous, greenish on upper surface, tinged with purple-red on lower surface, glabrous on both surfaces, venation nearly palmate.
• Flowers purplish red, with inconspicuous pedicel 1-1.2 mm long; bracts linear-lanceolate, 6-12 mm long, 1.5-2.3 mm wide at base, acuminate at apex; ovary obliquely ovoid, 2.5-3.2 mm long, 1.6-2 mm in diam., 6-ribbed, ribs purplish; dorsal sepal incurved and embracing base of lip, spatulate or oblanceolate, 15-20 mm long, 3.5-5 mm wide at base, 7-8 mm wide near apex, irregularly serrulate on terminal margin, with a caudate tip 1-2 mm long at apex; lateral sepals and petals arising from ventral base of lip, filiform-subulate, lateral sepals free, 23-26 mm long, 1 mm wide at base, petals slightly longer, 25-30 mm long; lip orbicular in outline, about 11-13 mm across from front view, 17 mm wide when expanded, fimbriate or laciniate along margins, lower portion with incurved overlapping margins and becoming tube-like, anterior limb gradually dilated and strongly recurved at apex, disc with several dark red stripes, scabrous on upper surface along stripes, spurs dark red, 4-5 mm long, straight or slightly curved outward and horn-like; column 3 mm long, ventral side of base decurrent into a protruding callus-like structure bearing lip, lateral sepals and petals; anther dorsally adnate to erect connective on column top, 1 mm long, theca thinly membranaceous, close above, slightly divergent below; pollinia 4, in 2 pairs, with triangular viscidium; stigma protruding, discoid or cupular.

分布

• 台灣 : so far found in forest at about 2,300 m in central mountainous region, often growing on mossy rocky slopes.
• 世界 : China (Kwangsi).
